Describe your company and organization and target audience

Located in a small Midwestern river valley, we are a father-son family farm with multi-generational roots that raises corn, soybeans, and hogs as well as providing custom farming solutions such as planting, spraying and harvesting. We are very involved with various community organizations and have a well-respected reputation as an operation that "does things right". Primarily, our products are sold within a 60 mile radius to local ethanol, river terminal, and production facilities. Our audience would be our valued landlords, any potential landlords and customers, and our general community of friends, neighbors, and fellow businesses.

The design should have the following

I would like to incorporate features into the logo to represent the corn, soybeans, and hogs that we raise. I would also like to include a subtle reference to the river that runs through the center of our farm. We currently run Case IH equipment (red, black and silver colors), so those colors or some combination that does not directly clash with those colors would be the preference. The primary use for this logo will be on letterheads, business cards, Facebook, equipment decals, and some apparel (hats, t-shirts, etc.). In regards to the apparel, an ideal logo would translate easily to both screen print and embroidery.

I would prefer a more "professional" looking logo - that is I do not wish for a "cartoonish" or playful logo.
