Describe your company and organization and target audience

Mookie’s is an Authentic New York Deli. Our food is made at the restaurant from fresh high quality ingredients. We cure our Corned Beef and Pastrami. We make our own baked goods. Black and white cookies, knishes, everything is made from scratch.

In addition to being the family dog Mookie is a New York name. Mookie Wilson was a long time NY Met. Morris “Mookie” Blackman was the character Spike Lee played in Do the Right Thing.

Our concept and brand should enable southerners to experience for the first time a 14 ounce, piled high, hand slice corned beef and pastrami as well as the large population of “Yankees” that have moved to North Carolina.

The design should have the following

An authentic NY feel. Can use New York or NY - whatever works best.

Blue and orange colors for fonts (maybe gray). We need to be cognizant that if we pick a blue, it does not remind people too much of either Duke or Carolina blue. We want the colors to either evoke thoughts of New York City or the deli as a place to go for a hearty, family and adult friendly meal that is reminiscent of New York City. This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

Anything too fancy - this should be classic NY.
