America has 35% of its workforce not working!! Many folks have just given up. All the while, job boards are full. A roundtable of Fortune 100 CEO's told the President, "the jobs are there, the skills aren't." Which means there is a gap between the folks that need jobs and the skills required to do the jobs in demand. Mentourup is a platform to a) get aptitude testing, personality profiles and strengths evaluations while the jobseeker is introduced to inspiratonal testimonies of the power of...mentorship. Apprenticeship programs worked for centuries but were sidelined during the industrial revolution when demand for labor outstripped supply. Now, as our economy goes through a structural realignment into an information economy, workers need new training for jobs that they can excel at and a hand to help them a) choose the right training, b) network and interview and c) onboard in their new career.
