As commented in other response, designers may want to consider the following: 1. Considering that target audience, incorporate images of the African continent, 2. Other images could also include: romanesque columns (symbolizing the courts/law); lady justice, and, of course, globes. 3. Two colors seem to work best... 4. Please avoid clip art or images that look like clip art.

Many thanks for all the entries to date. One thing to keep in mind is that typically, with a few exceptions, including more than one image such as a column and globe and the continent of Africa, is a little too busy. We'd like to keep the logo simple, yet professional. Also if you haven't guessed already, LexNoir was derived from Latin, lex, and French, noir, so we have the relevant elements in the name already, we just need a logo that subtlety re-enforces the name. So, one image (of a column, continent or scales) well done will suffice and two may be overkill. Again, thanks.

I'd be interested in viewing any fonts that appear as a clean, handwritten script font. Nothing too fancy or overworks. The majority of the "LexNoir(s)" appear in a typewritten font. Many thanks. Appreciate all the great suggestions to date.
