Wow! There are obviously many talented artists out there. Thank you all for what you've contributed so far. I'm impressed! There have been some fairly abstract pieces which aren't exactly what we're looking for. With the font please keep in mind that the logo will be embroidered on to clothing so it can't be too messy. Thanks! LA

Thank you very much. However, it would help tremendously if you could rate and comment on the entries individually. Thanks again.

I only wanted to say without mentioning anyone's name that it would be very professionally courtious to NOT copy other designers concepts. I have seen this alot, now I fall "victim" to this. Please for the sake of everyone else and the contest holder I would ask very politely that you remove your entries.

Can someone please remove some of the entries above, Plus mine. The comments board should be to post that a designer copied and image or someone offering their services free.

These are generic symbols in the public domain. I don't think they can be classified as clipart, however. Just an opinion.

?? I believe, they are "webdings", and are copyrighted

Excuse me, these are vecter drawn by me, individually and exclusively for this contest, NOT clip art, NOT webdings, I guess I just drew them too well, I should expect such speculation.

LA, thank you for selecting my design, and I want to assure you that the logo is entirely original art. Thanks again.

For what it is worth, the icons on the logo are NOT original... here is a link to see the common ones used at state parks in Florida... http://www.floridastateparks.org/biglagoon/Activities.cfm

For what it's worth, I drew them based on typical park signs as reference, that's the whole point of the logo (duh).

Quite frankly, if the client likes the logo, then all is good, and no worries. However, according to copyright laws, a design must have at least 3 elements different from an already existing design. If you are confident that you have separated your design elements from that criteria ArtMachine, then you should have no concerns.

Babies? Come off it..would you want someone elses' rip off "design" representing your company? that's like getting an armani shirt versace tie and ysl jacket and saying, "hey! I designed my outfit"...the designs belong to other people and anyone who "compiles" peices of this and that is not a designer

Well, I disagree. In your scenario the person mixing the different pieces of clothing is designing, somewhat. Armani didn't invent the tie. I don't think that the winning logo is something outstanding; I think it's going to have trouble holding up at small sizes, for instance, but it's what was chosen. Better luck next time.
