It should be clear from the logo that we are in business of furniture, but nothing too cliche (like a picture of sofa). Sort of like Zappos logo - there is a footprint, so you understand that they deal in shoes, but there are no actual shoes in logo.

Yuppies - young singles and families living in large cities, most owning a flat, some renting, and looking for new furniture. They are web-savvy and tight on time, so shopping online is very common.

Colors to use in the design

Please look at logos of Target (store), WWF, Android as examples of simple logos where the business is clear from the logo. For furniture reference see bnd design furniture or green chairs. Of course, none of the logos should be replicated!
