Please keep in mind that we are a construction company...All the designs look great so far but when I see them I think of a company that sells bathtubs or bathroom ammenities...I don't want too much emphasis on construction but if we can somehow blend that element in a little it would be fantastic. Thanks...you are all doing a great job...I will be rating and posting comments soon...sorry I haven't gotten to that yet...I've been extremely busy today.

Well Designers, I discovered something when I was rating everyones designs...I am not very good at critiquing graphic design...probably because I am no good at it...my comments were probably not very helpful...the rating numbers should give you an idea of what types of design appeal more to me...otherwise it just seems as though some styles or designs just pop out at me more and I can't really tell you why...I'll do my best to keep communicating which ones I like best...Thanks, you are all doing great work

OK...so I've been thinking over coffee this morning...here's what I've determined...I definately don't think bubbles will work in the logo...maybe some could prove me wrong but I doubt it...besides, I think they would be hard to reproduce on shirts because of the shading and just and outline wouldn't look so great...

Also...I've determined that adding tools or the element of construction is harder than I was originally thinking it would be...it just doesn't seem to look right when you add tools to the logo...if someone can somehow make me think construction or remodeling when I see the logo and still keep the clean, soothing, professionl look of some of the higher rated logos that would be great...but I'm not sure that can be done...

The things I see which really appeal to me are the element of water or water drops...they are very soothing and clean and professional...however, many of the designs with that element make me think of a water softner company or something along those lines...not sure how that can be blended with the construction idea but would love to see that happen if possible...

I also like many of the tile ideas...they seem to convey the construction idea a little better...however, most of them don't seem quite as soothing and comfortable or pop at me quite as much as the water designs...not sure why but thats what I've noticed...maybe the two elements can be combined or something...

I also like the shower head idea and the simple tub designs...not that those are required by any means but some of them do appeal to me...

Also keep in mind that the simpler the design the better in my opinion...it's just that the simple has to be elegant, soothing, and pop at me while conveying at least a glimmer of of the message that we remodel bathrooms... Thanks everyone...you're all doing fantastic work...I hope all the last few posts help you understand what I'm looking for...

I think if we cannot come up with that kind of design, maybe a tagline would help. We can incorporate taglines with the design to support the logo. :) Would you consider that? We can help you come up with a good tag line. That is just an option. We will think harder to come up with that kind of design in your description. Stay tuned. :)

Absolutely...I am open to any ideas you might have...I am no expert and its very difficult for me to say exactly what I'm looking for...I do realize that a logo doesn't have to describe everything we do...I will have advertising for that, but it would be nice if the logo at least hints at what we do...I really love some of the designs but I just keep thinking "water softener" with them...almost makes me want to keep the logo and start a water softener company instead...LOL...but really, any ideas you might have I am open to...your ideas are probably better than mine so if you have something you think is great let me know...don't necessarily limit your creativity because of my initial guidelines...that was just my minds feeble attempt at design...

OK everybody...please be patient with me...I really appreciate all the hard work and design submittals...I am trying to review the all the designs...It is a bit difficult the way the site is set up for contest holders to review...currently I have rated everything from a 1 to a 3...I will now be reviewing all the 3's and upgrading some of them to 4's and possibly 5's...This was the only way I could start to sort them...I will try to comment on some of them but will probably use this general comment board for the most part...It is very difficult and time consuming the way the site is set up to rate and comment everyone individually...

Also please...please...please keep in mind that my rating is not based on the quality or creativity of your designs...some of you may have received a rating of 1 or 2...that doesn't mean I don't like your design or think its no good...it just means its not the right fit for my company...

Just something to keep in mind...the wining design will need to be able to have a black & white version for faxing...some of the designs with too much shading or too many colors will not work...Great work everyone...really creative ideas...Thanks

Right. I guess the ratings would help us designers to know when to withdraw our design that don't match with your requirement.

So I've been reviewing some entries and a couple things came to mind...affordable elegance and construction...the name says baths so I don't think the bathroom fixtures are so important...the construction element is important because I need people to know what we do to the baths...fixtures are OK but I don't want people to think we are a sales company for tubs or faucets...I really like a clean professional look but don't want people to think we are too expensive so it can't appear to elegant...I currently have a business focusing on high end design/build remodels and have heard several times "I can't afford you" without ever having mentioned a price. I want this company to saturate the middle class market with some higher end clients as well...we will produce amazing bath remodels quickly and at a very competitive price...no one gets left behind...we are affordable and yet we are elegant...appealing to anyone who has a bathroom in need of help...as for the water and waves and blue color...they are very appealing to me...they are soothing and comfortable...this is what I like about them...however, we are not a water company and it has very little to do with our company...the reason I like them is they make me feel relaxed when I look at them as I assume it will do for others...this is a good thing but should not necessarily be the main focus...Thanks to everyone for all your great work...I hope this helps a bit...

I really think you are looking far to deep into all of this, a logo very rarely stands alone..Your company name suggests that you sell baths so I feel will need some sort of tagline or supporting text whichever design you decide to go with.

I agree with Rascal. I added a tag line to help, but got no feedback. If they only want the name JUST BATHS, then they should pick one, and do the rest of the explanation on their web site.

I agree as well..... I pulled my entries once he started picking abstract blue stuff. I made him a logo that described his business specifically.... and he thought it looked like a boat. Overthinking.
