Hi everyone, Good luck in this contest! I design on this site too, from time to time, but illustrations are not my forte and I've been loving the stuff I've seen from you all so thought I would give this a shot. I also forgot to add that I would like to see some designs that can work well in 1 or 2 colors to reduce printing costs. Thanks, Rochelle (rochelleann)

I am super impressed with all of the designs submitted so far! I was nervous that noone would enter this contest, since it is so different to most of the logo contest we get on this site, but I am absolutely stoked with the entries to date. It's going to be tough choosing a winner! I tend to be leaning towards high contrast 1-3 color designs, and no shadows or gradients (because I'm not sure our small printery here can handle them). Thank you all for participating!

Not sure if I'm allowed to do this... I thought you guys might like to see the "Fish for Brains" logo that will accompany your illustration. #11765 submitted by my designer alias.... here is the logo I'm going to be working with to pair up with the illustration I choose. The colors are not finalized - I can change them to match the illustration part. This text won't necessarily need to go on the front of the t-shirt with the illustration either, it will completely depend on the style of illustration and what looks good. I'm not quite set on whether I want the number '4' or the word 'for' either. For the most part, however, this will be the design I use (or something very very similar to this). Thanks! P.S- and FYI, the reason I'm holding a contest for this and not doing it myself is that I'm so burnt out on doing salmon illustrations that I'm worried my designs are soon going to start resembling each other.

I just thought of something else that might be useful for you all to know. The average age of the fisherman here in Cordova is probably around 55. Our fishermen range in age from 18-85, with the large majority sitting between 50-60. I guess I should have clarified 'younger crowd' (per my description above) to mean those between 18-55. :)

Just for the record, I am not 100% sold on the image having a head, brain and skull etc in it. In fact, a really cool salmon illustration would be great to see, too. Something that I could expand on myself....I am just burnt out on salmon illustrations and don't want to do any more of them. That doesn't mean that you guys can't use them! The illustration doesn't have to be a literal interpretation of "Fish for Brains" - it can be just a simple "salmon" or "halibut" related image that sells the idea of fish.

Right now I'm leaning towards the following designs: 11959 11778 11685 11674 11693 It's going to be a tough choice! I am heading out of town on business the day this contest ends and won't be back home until Friday evening - I'll be making a decision then. Thank you to everyone for the great work - like I said, it's going to be extremely tough choosing only one of these great designs.
