thinkforward, please note that your original design was four black houses. My input, which I have offered to all designers, has steered the design. I believe that churpo is going in the right direction because that design is not cartoonish (as noted in my last comments on your design) and has a great roof line. I have also shown a preference for a red infill building.

Just a random coincidence that your subsequent design shortly after mine was posted was 4 buildings of similar style with the same layout, with the third house from the left made to stand out with a bright color? hmmm sounds like my design with a few slight modifications that I would have been making based on the contest holders comments on MY design! I read the brief many times and struggled to think of a successful design. Hence the reason I was a little bitter seeing your design.
