Yes, I would like to be able to have different sizes w/o quality loss. Should I assume then that Bitmap is not the best choice. This is not my area of expertise. Please advise.

well my point is some people dont know what vector is. Main logo should be vector you can save vector in any web format you want but you cant turn bitmap to vector. Even some designers here dont know the difference. and if CH ask bitmap they give bitmap. And then Ch wants to print that logo in bigger size and he gets a messy pixelated image. Usually i just make a zip file with many different choices. web bitmap to high quality bitmap and different vector formats so its freedom to choose. and can be send to print company or something like that. Some say i repeat myself over and over, but as CH here told that its not his area of experise, so i think its good if they can have the info about why bitmap as first option is not the best choice. Dont hate me guys, I just want that ch gets the result that doesnt causes the headaches for him

about your logo for illustration you are thinking about illustration as illustration or the icon part of the logo? Logo should be understandable even in small size and a black and white version also?
