Describe your company and organization and target audience

In 1996, I founded a quality, pet products retail brick-n-mortar store that I closed in December 2017 due to competition and the economy. I am (still) Sacramento's longest running self-service dog wash. My loyal clientele relied on my selection of high quality products and I carried some of the 'cleanest' foods and supplements before it was "cool" and mainstream. I need/want DogMom.com to reflect my painstaking search for quality, unique products that they won't necessarily find in in mainstream or (even) easily online. I have over 2 decades of hands-on experience and have seen phenomenal growth, creativity and innovation in the pet industry. Experience is what I have alongside a sense for what my mainstream customers would expect to see from me.

The design should have the following

There is a previous logo that I liked, but that was a long time ago. If anyone is interested, I can send it as a separate file. It includes a '50's-style cartoon-sketch face of a pretty mom-like woman and a cute cartoon dog. The font and the scheme was '50's/'60's like (Betty Crocker, Good Housekeeping). Again, happy to send if you want to see what I once liked. It's possible that the more important goal is a clean logo; without cartoon characters. Since the domain name is so clean and simple (and I need to drive traffic), perhaps it's more important to focus on the name. IDK; you guys are the experts!!

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

Because of the goals for merchandise, too many colors make the pricing unattractive. Open to colors (2 max) but would really like to see if B & W is best

Colors to use in the design

Need the input of your creativity for colors (max 2) and would love to see B&W versions. Have been loving submissions so far but have modified my desire for initial colors. That's why I'm NOT a designer! LOL
