THE COMPANY IS NOT NAMED WHAT IS LISTED ABOVE, THAT IS JUST THE HEADING I WANTED: PLEASE READ TO GET ACTUAL NAME: Two Chicago area AGC (Associated General Contractors of America) chapters are merging into one new organization to be called Chicagoland AGC. Want an entirely new logo that is clean, not busy, and quickly recognizes us as a contracting association specializing in vertical building (as opposed to roads/highways or residential, etc.). One board member liked the idea of a tower crane kind of image as an option. The AGC of America logo is circular, we may want to incorporate a small logo of theirs inside ours? We are a trade association whose members are general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in Chicago area commercial construction industry.

The design should have the following

Tower crane? Chicagoland AGC. Possibly the AGC of America logo incorporated into ours? Want it clean, simple, masculine, no Chicago flag. We had some of our members' marketing people give it a shot and that wasn't a good idea. Had weird "too busy" images, some w/parts of original organizations' current logo instead of entirely new concept, etc.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

No skyline or other only Chicago landmarks since our area covers suburbs, NW Indiana, southern WI, northern IL.

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

Bold, masculine colors...right now we both stick w/deep red, gray, black, dark blue...can always switch colors depending on what the new merged org goes with - primary goal is an easily recognizable logo that says who we are and what we do (Chicago areawide commercial contractors specializing in vertical building (healthcare, education, skyscrapers, hotels, strip malls, etc. - not roads, bridges, residential, etc.).
