Describe your company and organization and target audience

Our company creates "smart" materials that act as chemical sensors (hence the CHEM in Chemeleon) that change colors when they detect of target molecules like drugs, allergens, pathogens, biomarkers, etc. Our company will license this platform technology out in many fields (B2B out-licensing) and will also fully market products and commercialize them in other fields (selling B2C). Our target audience ranges from health practitioners to individual consumers.

The design should have the following

I'm reticent to even suggest anything as I don't want to constrain creativity or anchor anyone's thoughts to this idea, but we are a chemistry and materials science company and I like the idea of integrating chemical structures (like a benzene ring) into the shape or likeness of a chameleon. It absolutely does not have to have this, it's just an idea and I'd really like to be surprised with others' creative approaches. However, please do not play on the color-changing element too much as we want this logo to work in monochrome as well.

I would really like the logo to be strong enough and recognizable enough to stand alone without the brand name!

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
• Television/screen

This design should not have this in the entries

Please do not play on the color-changing element too much as we want this logo to work in monochrome as well. Of course, it can have multiple colors, but we want to make sure it works without them as well.
