I am encouraged by the number of submissions so far but I would encourage everyone to read the design brief again. Remember, I prefer a design that has the logo to the left of the text. Noone has submitted a design with that style as of yet. I also prefer logos that have few colors (preferrably 2, but 3 is okay if one color is black). Branding is important to me as well so the elegance of a logo is in its simplicity. Avoid making the cat appear too cartoonish. The best design so far was submitted by kellyrae. Thanks for your efforts so far. Keep them coming!

Here is a website that I came across that has a decent logo. http://www.lvcatdaddy.com/ What I like about it: simple two color design - the cat in the logo looks hip and artsy (like he could direct something) That said, if this "style" can be captured with even less detail on the cat, then you will be getting closer to what I'm looking for in a logo.

Ok, so there are enough submissions at this point to narrow down the style of cat I would like. I would like the cat to have a hat and a goatee - the beret style hat is preferred (see entry 44341 by Ribman). Prefer non-symmetrical perspectives of the cat (see entries 44481 and 44499). I have ranked the logos that have these elements higher so they will all appear at top of page.

Sorry, forgot to mention that you need to rank submissions by score.

I appreciate eveyone's participation. I will be selecting RibMan as the winner as soon as we can work out details. Thanks again for everyone's submissions.

It might be a little premature to state a winner. I do not mean this in a negative way, but given the revised criteria a designer might very well surprise you.

Agreed. Regardless I want to value everyone's time and until I prepaid the award amount, Ribman had submitted the best one. This is the first contest I have done so I am still learning. Thanks for your input. I certainly don't want to discourage anyone from submitting anything. Thanks for continuing to submit.

I hadn't posted in a while so I thought I would provide some more input. At this point I really like entry 44973 by ANPAdesign. The cat looks cool and the use of a prop (i.e. megaphone) is a nice touch because it gives the viewer some indication of the kind of services the company provides. Feel free to consider other props that would convey this message as well (directors chair, scene board, etc.). As always, I appreciate everyone's submissions.
