I like the simple black and white designs submitted so far. I'd also like to see some with different color options. I envision this logo on a light mocha colored stationary. I think the text needs to be in black, and maybe have the logo incorporate some color...I'd really like to see what a metallic green logo looks like (think Andes Mints, but maybe just slightly darker)

When I said light mocha colored stationary, I think I might have given you too dark of an impression. Maybe I meant more of a cream, or vanilla. In any event, those of you who have submitted logos with a brown background are making the background a little too dark. I'm looking for something in a lighter hue of brown.

Also, please don't be upset with the low scores. I don't envision going higher than a 3 until this design has been worked on quite a bit. I will try to provide feedback for every entry.

I just wanted to pass along that we're barely 24 hours into this, and I am EXTREMELY pleased and impressed with the logo ideas you have all submitted so far. I'm glad I stumbled upon this site. It's a much better bargain and variety than I could get with having it professionally done.

These logos are pouring in faster than I can keep up with...Just to let you know what your score means: 3 = potential finalist 2 = has potential, could be a 3 with some work 1 = not what I'm looking for 0 = has not been graded yet

After reviewing several designs, it's becoming clearer to me exactly what I'm looking for. I'm starting to lean away from mountain-themed designs. I still like the incorporation of some type of Evergreen tree and the logo should have some type of black and green feel to it (think Andes-Mint Green or slightly darker color. If your design says "modern" or "contemporary" that's not what I am looking for for a Financial Services company. I'm going for a more professional/traditional style, but I'm open to looking at anything. I tend to like the "Black Forest" lettering to be in a serif-type font, and the "Capital Management" to be in a smaller sans-serif type font. If I've already scored your logo design as a 3 and told you you're a finalist, please don't change your design to meet anything I've just said. My plan is to keep this competition open until about day 8, then work with the finalists the last two days to get it just the way I want it. I'm also planning to put most comments here, instead of on the logos, as I think everyone will benefit from that. Keep up the GREAT work!!!

OMG..p4e artwork on icon and Efzone2005 also on icon ..look similar .. r u dont realize that??.. i dont know who have idea first but i know who got submit first... better watch out guys,on this contest we have design court remember...

Paistoopid...I'm aware of what's going on. While, I think the font style and general layout of the finalists will all eventually look very similar (to my exact specifications), the logo designs should be distinctly different. p4e is not the first to copy a logo and try to resubmit it in a slightly different manner. Believe me, the winning designer will be one with ORIGINALITY.

I just want to say it's a refreshing change to see the CH taking total ownership of this comp. Too many CH's start a comp and then abandon the designers until it closes, but this CH has kept a close eye on entries, given clear feedback on what they wanted, and updated ratings frequently. So cheers Wollac for that, and good luck to those still in the running.

Thanks to all the designers and your hard work. You all far exceeded my expectations. It was very difficult to decide between all the high-caliber designs. One design clearly stood out to me from the beginning and is the design that I ended up choosing. I also had a couple contacts within the advertising industry that picked the same logo, independently of each other and without my input. That was a clear signal for me to work hard with logoguru to tighten up the design to my exact specifications. Thanks again to everyone for their hard work and congratulations to logoguru!
