I want the orientation of the logo to be very similiar to the current one. I also want the letters of Abacus to be blue. (It appears better). I want the design to be professional but not "futuristic". Some of the 1st examples, are too "techy" looking. I'm seeking elegant and professional.

Great effort by some. I'd love to see some alternate creative suggestions. I know my manager will be happy with an upgraded version of our current logo. Can you stun him into buying a new concept?

I'd like to see 2 different types of logos. 1. Can we make a "ASC" logo, to incorporate the initials of Abacus Service Corporation. 2. While also revamping our logo, we are considering different marketing slogans and ideas. One of the ideas, I thought of today, was to make a the circle that surrounds the "A", our circle of excellence. This circle would have 10 small dots which we would then use as statements that support why we are successful. Examples; Quality, Integrity, Continual Improvement, Corporate Responsibility, etc.

On 2. The circle doesn't need "dots"...if you can have some seperation into 10 different areas that would work too.

Can someone give me an example in "Sans sarif"?

I'm really liking the "Sans sarif". I also like text versions which have a mirrored or slight shadow effect. I want more then flat text. We have decided the Abacus calculator design isn't working very well. Please focus on the circle "A".

I wish I could delete some of the designs. Stop with the "rainbow" designs. We are running a business.

How about a slight "millipede -fragmented circle" around the "A". Segmented into 10 segments.

Alright, I feel we are getting close. I like the tad darker or brighter version of the Univ of Florida colors. It's interesting, the colors appear slightly different on different U of F marketing material. The blue that sticks out the most is the best choice. Some of you designers have great "text" but need an improved "A". I'm enjoying the more impactful looking text. Some of you have great "A's" but need an improvement in your text. Any creative ways of encircling the "A" are appreciated. I feel we are getting close. I hope to award a design trend setter.So if you have succeeded with some of your submissions, I'd love to see you compete til the end. Thank you all for your efforts.

The blue color can always be changed when you get the final artwork. Colors on our computer screens don't always match what you see on your computer screen, as everyone's system is different. I'm just getting a little confused (and I know others are as well) as the instructions and comments on what you like keep changing.

I apologize for the changes I've suggested. They were made as additional creative ideas were considered. Overall, we are just looking to modernize our current logo. Make it "web 2.0". The "millipedge" and the abacus symbol were not working. I appreciate the efforts. Magpie, please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
