Describe your company and organization and target audience
Dear Artists, I seek an avatar! I am a journalist/editor of a new online magazine---So South Philly. The e-zine will be about attitudes, culture, politics, and humor from South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. My readers are 25 to 55 years old, college educated, progressives, intellectuals, with a sense of humor. My avatar has to make sense with the logo, which you'll see on the site www.sosouthphilly.com. The avatar might even be in the header one day...I want to brand myself as a celebrity blogger, writer, journalist, culture critic, humorist.
The design should have the following
I am the editor/writer and need an avatar to convey these qualities: Glamour, Authority, Intellect, Attitude, Humor, Edge, and my age, which is 49. My online photo is retouched...but I want my avatar to look somewhat ageless (in other words, I'm not trying to make someone think I am 25...and then be surprised to see I am almost 50). To see my face and hear my editorial voice, please click here: http://www.sosouthphilly.com/2013/05/06/hello-world/ Here is another photo of me: http://www.southphillyreview.com/news/Marina-Stamos.html The avatar will be used in the business card attached...so, please design with this in mind. THE DESIGN SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING : The avatar can be pure black lines on white only. It can have shades of gray, or not. What it needs is my essence...your artistic take---and attitude! It should look like it could be in the The New Yorker magazine (www.newyorker.com). ALSO, I love bold and graphic! I think that would make sense with the logo/card
