Our clients are primarily sophisticated high net worth individuals and institutional investors. These clients are looking to do business with companies who are not only able to demonstrate strong investment capabilities but who also demonstrate impeccable integrity and are able to gain their trust. Our marketing materials need therefore to be appropriate for this target market. We are essentially a financial services firm and as such we need to convey the characteristics expected of a firm in that industry - specifically integrity, strength, performance and commitment to clients.

The product our firm will be managing is called "The Spartan Fund, LP". If there's a way to incorporate a "Spartan" type logo, say helmet and/or shield into the overall logo for MLB Capital Management, that might be what I'm looking for. Or, maybe the Spartan logo could appear on the front of the business card. Not sure.

I notice the use of many "loud" colors, I'd prefer something more classic and muted. This business is a financial services firm, it needs to be classic, trusted and strong. The use of neon or "bright" colors doesn't fit the image and will turn potential clients off. The business should not be viewed as "flashy", it should be viewed as conservative, risk adverse and the logo should convey those principles.

Infantry was the dominant military arm in ancient Greece, and the Spartan infantry eclipsed all others. A Spartan hoplite (footsoldier) wielded a pike of seven and a half to nine feet in length, which he handled more skillfully than his opponent did his own weapon of lesser stature. He donned a helmet, breastplate, and greaves and carried a short sword at his waist. The footsoldier relied on war experience and not on chance like modern day blackjack neophytes. He held so large a shield that it could be used as a stretcher to carry wounded from the field. This shield protected its bearer's left side and front, and extended far leftward to protect his neighbor's right side. Dependence upon a neighbor's shield encouraged each hoplite to keep rank. These trained hoplites maneuvered in a formation, called a phalanx, of at least eight ranks deep. The Spartan phalanx was the most formidable sight on battlefields in the fifth century B.C . Maybe a shield should be added to the profile of a helmet. Or, maybe just a shield.

I think after seeing this the logo should be this Spartan shield only. http://www.legion-fourteen.com/spartans.jpg ABOVE YOU CAN SEE A BATTLE SCENE FROM ANCIENT GREECE… THE WARRIORS WE PORTRAY HERE ARE SPARTAN HOPOLITES. THE SHIELDS THEY CARRY BEAR THE GREEK SYMBOL 'L'. ALL SPARTAN WARRIORS HAD THIS EMBLEM ON THEIR SHIELDS, IT STANDS FOR LACONIA, THE AREA IN SOUTHERN GREECE WHERE IN THE 10th CENTURY BC THE SPARTANS HAD SETTLED AFTER DEFEATING THE LOCAL POPULACE AND FOUNDED THE CITY STATE OF SPARTA. BETWEEN c740-720 BC, THE SPARTANS DEFEATED THE NEIGHBOURING STATE OF MESSENIA, THIS ACTION MADE SPARTA ONE OF THE LARGEST GREEK STATES PROVIDING IT WITH ENOUGH FERTILE LAND TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT IN FOOD.

Spartan shields were typically painted bright red with the Greek letter Lambda (for Lacedemonian, the name of the Spartan homeland) done in white.

Better - I'm not sure what you're asking in regards to PSD file. I will need to use the selected logo for stationary, business cards, website, clothing and potentially an address for a building.
