Hello, we wanted to post a general comment for everyone. We want to keep the card/envelope/letterhead simple and clean, without incorporating an overabundance of colors. We also don't want to use the icon outside the logo as a watermark or a standalone feature. Thanks, James

Hello Raymer and Patriotu, Yes, we apologize for the lack of attention to this contest and we'll work with everyone until it ends...it's been busy and we appreciate all the design input and your hard work! Here's a general comment for all designers. For stationary and envelopes, we're looking for a simple, contemporary design that doesn't require any bleeds and can be printed, if necessary, on a high resolution inkjet or laser printer. Bleeds can be used on the business card designs for printing and we may use foil stamp(s) on the business cards only. Thanks again and we'll provide individual feedback on scores 4 or higher. James

Hello James, I totally forgot about this contest. I figured it ended a long time ago. Is there a reason that you don't want bleeds? Done properly it does not add anymore to the cost of 4 color printing. On the other hand, if you just need to run blank sheets and print your own letterhead and envelope, they would have to be designed to fit within the specific machines margin. In this case you may as well start eliminating most of the entries (some of mine included.) As for the foil stamping, it will require an additional plate, so be sure that the winning designer supplies you with that extra layer to simplify the the process when final prepress work is done. Lastly, ANY feedback will help you get what you need. It helps give designers a direction to go in (or to not go in) Thank you and good luck.

Hello All, Here's some general feedback to help the design process. The letterhead and envelope will be run inhouse on either a high resolution inkjet or laser printer, so we can't use any bleeds. After reviewing the designs, we prefer the logo, address, phone, etc. left justified, but please play with positioning and/or partitioning. We have more flexibility with the business card layout, but also need it to tie in with the letterhead and envelope. We will probably be foil stamping the metallic components of the logo, both gold and bronze, on the business cards, so please follow NightOwlGraphics' suggestion and lay these elements out on separate layers. Thanks again NightOwlGraphics! You can use bleeds on the business card designs as these will be run offsite. We prefer a horizontal design in a standard size, but we've been pleasantly surprised before by your creativity, so if you have a concept that requires a vertical layout or special die cut, please submit it.
