CONTEST HOLDER | Hi designers!
I have extended the contest because I didn't really see any designs that were "IT", so I would like to make a note here that the project IS metal/rock, it IS intense and has darkness and heaviness, but its ALSO Intense, playful, light, dynamic and mischievous.... so the artwork can't all be death and gore only. its ok to show the dark side of being human but also show the opposite so its a more honest image of what IS and how this band TOYS with the dark and light energies of what IS.
Also, please pay attention to your color choices. There were some REALLY cool designs but the colors/images were retro, art/rock, neons and pastels, NOT the energy of this project.
Please do NOT put the band name on the image, and refrain from using the pictures of any band members, just artwork. Think enchanted, dark, mysterious, magical, like the castle in Beauty and the beast in the beginning of the movie, it was dark but had details that showed the light that was once there. and of course the rose was in complete glow, pure light and magic.
the title track of the album is "Behind Closed Doors" and thats what the project at large does. It takes people fearlessly and shamelessly Behind Closed Doors, in to the Raw and Unedited Human Journey! This palpable life force of the dar and light in the journey must live in the image somehow. there are many ways it can be expressed, just know that you are going for it. it could be a huge door that is cracked with light bursting Out of it and magic mushrooms and animated, spirited, hobbit-like characters peering through the shrubs as a young (drawn) boy and girl prance curiously towards the door's opening, as an example.. just remember that is ONE example, and there are infinite possibilities!
