Describe your company and organization and target audience.Citizens Against SCMaglev
We are a non profit citizens group (home owners) fighting a 10 billion dollar elevated magnetic levitation train that is slated to destroy roughly 10,000 homes in 3 counties in Maryland. The train only has 2 stops (DC and Baltimore) and will do nothing to reduce traffic. It's for the "elite business traveler" traveling between DC and Baltimore. It s a boondoggle being pushed through by corrupt politicians and a few corporate interests. This technology has already failed in Europe.
The design should have the following:A line (vector) drawing of a big fist smashing a high speed train which sits on an elevate tracks.
My first thought was a Graphic in Black (on a transparent background). However I dont want to squelch creativity. So perhaps a blue train and a red fist?
You can see an example of what I am looking for here ... with the black graphic. Note that the other letters on the example yard sign I can handle in photoshop so that addl text is not part of this logo project (it's just showing how the graphic would be used on a sample yard sign).
The problem is I dont own the rights to those images shown in the black graphic.
See the black graphic on this yard sign we are doing ...
It's the black graphic that we are in need of help with!
Trouble is I dont own the rights to the train or fist graphic shown in our sample yard sign.
Here are some more sample images of what this train looks like ... for inspiration
Trouble is I dont own the rights to any of these images shown in this Sampling of train images. So the design contributors would have to redraw the elements in their own style.
On another front I dont want to SQUELCH anyones creativity so if you wanted to do the logo in color (perhaps a blue train and a red fist???) that might help visibility ... Separating the train from the fist in the imagery. You can see our "approved blue and red colors from the RGB yard sign graphic.
I do realize this will have to be done in CMYK and not RGB since CMYK is needed for printing. But you can see the shade of red and blue in the RGB yard sign sample!
I suppose if I wanted a black version I could just lift the winning design and put it on a grayscale template. So perhaps using color would be the most universally useable. I can easly turn a color logo into Black / Grayscale if I needed to.
Thank you so much for your time and creativity!!
