The Distribution System Operators (DSO) in Switzerland are facing a once-in-a-lifetime level of profound challenges, ranging from the massive uptake of distributed generation devices, the increasing amount of Prosumers, to the maintenance and expansion of the Power network in Switzerland while is struggling with an equipment base nearing the end of its lifetime [1-2].
To ensure the immense rehabilitation and extension of the existing network through to significant changes in the control and communications equipment used in the network itself the DSOs need reliable data.
But with more than 600 different DSOs none of the involved companies is able to collect the critical amount of data by themselves to evaluate fail-safe network analysis and benchmarks, or cost-benefit calculations for material, maintenance and the building of new power lines.
This problem will be solved by the establishment of a central and neutral platform where all DSOs can share their sensitive data. With the collected input NUAM is able to provide credible data to all involved companies.
With the so gained experience NUAM can function as counselor and compile exact and reliable predictions, to reach this goal. The following summarized steps will be taken.

 Collect, format and analyze historical data.
 Verify the algorithm for critical calculations, e.g. the risk evaluation method or the calculation of health indices.
 Test and implementation of business intelligence technology, a software for automatic data processing and predictive analyses.
After the successful execution of our draft the Swiss energy network operators will not only economize their business, but also make an important step to ensure the safe and stable energy supply for their customers.
