Describe your company and organization and target audience
We are an international high school is located on a subtropical island in southern China, called Hainan. It’s hot all year-round here, thus the name of our school is: the Hainan Heat. The gecko is native animal to the island, thus is our school ‘mascot’. To add the element of ‘heat’ to our gecko, we created the idea of a fire-breathing gecko. (Like a mini Chinese dragon).
The image of the fire-breathing gecko that we have been using up till now is a simple silhouette of a gecko spitting fire. (see attached image of fire-breathing gecko)
We now want to upgrade to a full-on school logo that brings the fire-breathing gecko to life.
Our desire is to create a logo that incorporates a few elements from Hainan in it. We plan to use it on our sports teams jerseys (as well as other merchandise and online), thus a lot of the inspiration for the logo design should come from professional sports teams logos.
